Bantam HL Girls, U15 (OMHA), 2012-2013 (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

The Bantam Girls HL team came up against a different Georgian Shores Lightning team when they made the trip to Thornbury. In fact one Lightning player made a big single-handed difference with a 4 goal afternoon in the 5-0 game final.

The Bantam Girls HL team were overpowering as they battled the TCDMHA Rebels but only managed to come away with a tie thanks to a 2 point night by left-winger #19 - Sarah Underwood.

Our Bantam HL girls, with another huge outpouring of support from our Saugeen Shores Community, had a full bench with 15 skaters, our goalie coupled with huge spirits as the puck dropped in Ripley.  Those spirits did not die, as the girls played their hearts out but fell to the very classy and well played Kinucks squad 3-0.

Our Bantam HL Girls secured their first win of the season in Durham against West Grey in a back and forth affair taking it 4-3.  A special congratulation goes to #11 - Sarah Bester with a hat trick in the afternoon tilt.

Nov 10 – Storm Battle Lightning to an Epic Draw It had all the makings of a Perfect “Storm” as the Lightning from Georgian Shores made their way to the beaches of Port Elgin, and the girls did not disappoint the many fans in attendance with a 1-1 draw. The absolute star of clash was the effort put forth by all 14 Storm girls.  This was followed closely by Marley Scott in goal, with save after save frustrating the Lighting offense time after time.
