Bantam Girls HL Home Opener
The Bantam Girls HL Storm held their season opener on Saturday night (Nov 3rd) in Port Elgin against the unbeaten North Bruce Peninsula Predators C team.
This was a very accomplished crew of girls that made the trek into Port Elgin from the peninsula. Our girls quickly realized our A game was going to be needed as the Predators took the lead early and never looked back. During the flood between the second and third period, the team rallied around each other in the dressing room and came out for the third with a mission – to show their family and fans the unity that has brought this group together. They did just that and promptly won the third period with an unassisted goal from Kelly Robertson followed shortly by a goal from Savanah Brown assisted by Victoria Matheson.
The Bantams Girls would like to shout out a big thank you to the Pee Wee AP’s that came up for support and blended in perfectly – Savanah Brown, Victoria Matheson, Abby Acton, Eve Martin, Teena Ritchie and Marley Scott in goal.
