Our Bantam HL girls, with another huge outpouring of support from our Saugeen Shores Community, had a full bench with 15 skaters, our goalie coupled with huge spirits as the puck dropped in Ripley. Those spirits did not die, as the girls played their hearts out but fell to the very classy and well played Kinucks squad 3-0.
Kincardine managed 1 goal in each of the three periods, and
our Storm girls had many chances but could not solve the fantastic Kinuck
goaltending. Our own Marley Scott played
wonderfully with 2 of the 3 goals that found the back of the net worthy of
highlight of the night honours, and the third was a screened and re-directed
effort.
The Bantam girls would like to once again thank their Pee
Wee AP sisters (along with their parents that made the drive): Eve Martin, Teena
Ritchie, Victoria Matheson, Rachel Kelly, Tori Sutter-Lammie, Abby Acton,
Ainsley Herron and Marley Scott in goal.
