3 – 2 win against the Northstars #2
Count ‘em up boys.  One, Two, Three Goals for the Atom Storm LL2!

Welcome newcomer Tristen Lennan!  He performed in his first game with the Storm by popping in a rebound shot to open up the scoring halfway through the first period.  Great positioning by Lennan made for his first career goal, assisted by #12 Andrew Guo and #17 Camden Ritchie.  LL2 was stoked to celebrate with Tristen!!

In the second period Bruce Peninsula tied it up 1 - 1 with a goal by #17.  The goal was answered only 32 seconds later by Andrew Guo, assisted by Dylan Poulsen, with his second goal of the season, pulling the Storm ahead 2 – 1.  Bruce Peninsula’s second goal was scored by #35 on a powerplay in the 3rd period with Joseph Hodgkins in the box.  Lucas Noe was not going down in a tie-game and set his sights on a third goal, assisted by Nick Embro, with 2:07 left in the 3rd Final Score 3 - 2.

Fast skating, strong body positioning and clean play will be the key to Storm success this season.

Defenseman Dylan Poulsen showed strength and stamina out-muscling some strong Northstar attacks and keeping control of the play.  Soft hands and powerful shots made for lots of scoring opportunities for defensemen this game.   Brady Phillips, Quinn Fowler and Nick Embro worked hard to project the net to help out net-minder Jack Bennett.  Richie Carter was an excellent team-player this game looking around for his teammates and keeping a close eye on strategic play.  Goalie Jack Bennett seemed cool and calm as he defended the net with great use of his stick to block shots from attackers who broke through our defense.

Great passing from Liam Kelly and coordination with other players showed the potential of our roster of forwards including Joseph Hodgkins, Brennan Martin, Tyler Morrison, and Caleb Mason who all skated hard.  Camden Ritchie and Lucas Noe both played exceptionally well this game.  Lucas started rushing the net early in the game and didn’t let up which resulted in the game-winning goal.  Fantastic job!

Watch out for these guys in their next game, Monday night in Paisley against the Ice Dogs at 7 pm.
