Forgotten equipment caused some dressing room pre game stress for the team but everyone stepped up to pull out a win against TCDMHA Rebels LL#2.
First, a player forgot a jersey. Then the regular net minder arrived with some key equipment missing from his bag so David volunteered to drop back into net from defence with only ten minutes to go before game time.
The Rebels opened the scoring on an unassisted breakaway 3:36 into the game. Skyler tied it up for the Storm assisted by Cyrus with only 5 seconds remaining on the clock in the first period. The Storm scored twice in the second period as Nick potted a Kaden assist to notch the go ahead goal at 09:30. Skyler scored his second of the night and eventual game winner unassisted at 06:53. The Rebels came to within one with a tricky goal on a giveaway behind the net at 05:43. But even as six Rebels skaters took to the ice for the dying minutes, the Storm dug in to fend off the attack to win it 3 to 2.
