Novice Storm LL#2 took a narrow loss to the Shallow Lake Lakers LL#1 in a close match up.
The Lakers’ goalie was as sharp as in the two team’s previous meeting, but this time around the Lakers’ defensive play was much improved as the Storm struggled to advance on the net.
The Lakers opened up the scoring with the only goal in the first at 02:49. The Lakers went on to extend their lead to two with a solo effort break away at 08:31. The Storm pulled to within one at the end of the second period as Nick finally eluded the Lakers with an unassisted goal at 02:57.
