Novice Storm LL#2 won a close one against the Shallow Lake Lakers LL#2 on Wednesday night.
The game was a classic highlighted by both teams executing good defence and excellent goaltending. The only score of the game was by the Storm with 40.9 left in the second period when Nick trickled an assist by James through a crowd and past the legs of the Laker’s net minder.
The Storm’s defence was tight in their own zone and each of the Laker’s shots on net was on the breakaway. But Tanner was strong making some spectacular saves and earning him his first shut out of the season. Congrats Tanner!
The Storm really showed they are starting to come together as a team this game and everyone put in an excellent effort. Great work team!
