Novice Storm LL#2 let one slide away against the Arran-Elderslie Novice Ice Dogs Saturday at the Chesley Arena.
After a two goal start, Skyler assisted by Nick and Paydon at 04:24 and Nick assisted by Skyler at 03:07, Arran-Elderslie closed the gap to within one with 01:27 left in the first.
Arran-Elderslie tied up the game 30 seconds into the second and then notched five more quick goals to be comfortably in the lead 7 to 2 at 02:02 in the second. David led the Storm’s comeback off the face off with both Paydon and Colin assisting with 01:56 remaining in the period.
The Storm followed with three more in the third (Skyler assisted by Nick at 09:35, Nick assisted by Cyrus at 09:22, and Skyler assisted by both Nick and Cyrus at 08:34) to pull within one. But it was not enough against the Ice Dogs’ offense today as they went on to score two more late in the third to win it 9 to 6.
