Game 1 October 21, 2016
Rowlands Independent PeeWee LL 2 faced Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs in the season opener Friday night. The defensive line was well-coordinated, showcasing the skills of Ritchie, Brennan, Nick and Brady. Forwards showed their strength and speed all coming together with a great team effort. Good to see Quinn, Peter, Tyler, Lucas, Andrew, Cole, Hunter and Josh all working hard. In the net, Jack Bennett was quick and effective making many great saves!
Andrew opened up the home team scoring with 51 seconds left in the 1st period, assisted by Peter. Our second goal was scored by Lucas assisted by Andrew only 13 seconds after Andrew’s goal. Arran Elderslie did get one by net minder Jack Bennett in the first period.
Three minutes into the 2nd period Arran Elderslie scored their second, tying the score 2:2. The boys battled all game long muscling for positioning and shooting hard. Arran Elderslie scored their third goal with 3:38 left in the 3rd period, breaking the tie and pulling ahead. Final score 3:2
