Scotiabank Peewee AE Defeats BCH Ice Dogs
The Scotiabank Peewee AE team took on BCH Ice Dogs at home this past Sunday, and came out on top with a 3-2 win during regular season play.  The Storm needed this little boost after suffering three losses in our last away tournament.

The Storm came out onto the ice at the start of the game looking good, and played strong for the first 8 to 10 minutes of play but then there was a decline in effort after that point.  We have been focusing a lot on team building, developing skills, and encouraging the kids to put forth effort each shift.  We tended to stop skating late in the first and went into a more individualized game instead of team play.

That being said there was still a good hockey game with a number of great saves by goaltender Colby, and three goals that the storm were credited for.  No score by either team was had in the first period where both teams did a great job at defending.  Into the second, the Storm clenched two goals, the first unassisted by Branden L., and the second by Hunter, from Ozzie and Zac.  Going into the third period with a 2-0 lead, the Storm gave up 2 goals, but managed to sink one more compliments of a nice shot by Talan which effectively got tipped by Jimmy, and slammed in by Chris.  This is the type of play that we routinely practice, and it really looks good when executed during a game.  Great work!

The remainder of December will include a very busy schedule for the Scotiabank Peewee AE team with numerous games being played, including an exhibition game in Collingwood, and the one day tourney in Owen Sound.  Check the team calendar for the most up to date information.

See you at the rink!!
