Scotiabank Peewee AE vs Minto Mad Dogs
The Scotiabank Peewee AE team invited the Minto Mad Dogs to town for a Sunday afternoon match up at the Plex.   The Scotiabank Peewee AE team was pumped as they had a big win Friday evening, and felt as though they could do a repeat of the last game.   The boys played awesome and come out on top!  It was a hard-fought 7-5 win.

Putting lots of numbers up on the scoreboard, both teams accumulated a number of goals and also penalties.  If you were counting, there would have been a total of 12 goals, and also 12 penalties in this hour and fifteen regular season game, shared by both teams.  Watching the game you could the drive escalating as time passed.  In the first period there was only 1 goal for each team (Storm goal by Ozzie, and assisted by Hunter), and only 1 penalty for each team.  Going into the second, things ramped up a bit, with the Storm sinking 2 more goals (Hunter and Zack), and also the Mad Dogs getting two into the home net.  Penalties also increased to 3 each in this second period.  Both teams battled hard for the lead, but the score remained even at 3 all going into the third.

Pulling away into the third, the Storm rocketed past Minto by putting an additional 4 goals into the Mad Dogs cage, only giving up two in our end.  Luke, Hunter, Zack and Chris with the empty netter at the 1.7 second mark tally up the goals for the Storm in the third.  Mentionable assists for these go to Branden L., Anderson , Talan and Lucas H..  For reference, an additional 5 penalties were shared in the third.  The relationship here is the drive and effort that the boys exhibited put forth increased throughout the game, and to say that the win was hard-fought would be appropriate.

The Boys look forward to their next tournament this coming weekend in Nobleton where we take on some new teams that we wouldn’t play through the regular season.  Keep up the great work Storm!
