Scotiabank PeeWee AE play Lucknow Sepoys
Scotiabank PeeWee AE team faced up against Lucknow Sepoys for a home ice match up at the Plex.  Puck drop was at 1:45pm and all team members were present.  The team arrived looking sharp and suited up in the Hawks club room. The Storm looked good in warm up, and started off the game on a high.  Defencemen Cam Cumming went for a skate with the puck early in the first period, and successfully clenched the first goal of the game.

The Sepoys managed to tie it up later in the first, but overall the Storm were playing well.  Going into the second, the theme changed.  Being penalized a number of times, the Storm spent some time in the penalty box which ultimately threw us off of our game.  Struggling to maintain focus, the storm worked hard to get ahead only to find themselves giving up one more goal in the second.  The Sepoys managed to get the go ahead goal and the second period ended 2-1.

Feeling the frustration from the team the coaches tried to stay positive and redirect some energy towards the players.  This was short lived as the Storm team members were continually penalized and spent most of the period playing short-handed. Kudos to the peewee boys for having not one, but two 5 on 3 short handed sessions where the boys had unreal penalty kills.  Great job team!

A glimpse of light in the third was had when Branden Lisk scored a goal for the Storm where the score remained at 3-2 in favour of Lucknow.  Assists for this goal came from line mates Luke Noe and Lucas Harris.  A fourth goal was had for the Sepoys in the third, and the Storm fell victim to a 4-2 loss.  The boys put forth the effort that we had been asking for, but couldn't get up the momentum to make it count as the "box" consumed much of this momentum.  The final score was 4-2 in favour of Lucknow.

We will see everyone at our next scheduled game Tuesday Novemberm14, in Mitchell at Elma-Logan arena for a 7:30pm puck drop!
