Peewee LL, U13 (OMHA), 2011-2012 (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to Pee Wee WOAA Champions.  Tonight, against a Bruce Peninsula Team that has been a little more dangerous every game, Storm came out in control from 00:00 to end of the third with a victory which crowned them WOAA Champs and provided them a first for coach Andy Barnard - an UNDEFEATED season.

Tuesday night, 6:30 at the Plex Southport Optimist Pee Wee Storm have WOAA championships within their reach.  Up 1/0 in a best of three series against Bruce Peninsula, Storm will need to bring in their A game if they are to maintain their record of an undefeated season and the official title WOAA champions!  If you're out and about, please come out and cheer the Storm on! 

Pee Wee Local storm came in on fire this weekend playing up in the AE division in the annual Chris Knott Memorial tournament here in Saugeen Shores.  The weekend was full of oddities, with Mother Nature bringing the worst of the worst for organizers but the real winners proved to be those folks who remained unruffled and rolled with the punches to put on a great weekend regardless of conditions.

Southport Optimist Pee Wee Locals, under the fine direction of Coach(s) Andy Barnard and Jeff Plante, the Storm finished 2011/2012 regular season undefeated and now look to bring that same effort to the upcoming playoffs.   The final game ended with a 7-1 victory over Bruce Peninsula.  Christian Doubt played strong between the pipes and although BP had a number of chances, only one squeaked through late in the game to rob Doubt of a shutout.  Passing play was strong overall and paid off with a number goals and a few crowd pleasers that didn't actually make it to the back of the net.  ...

Southport Optimist Pee Wees met Bruce Peninsula #2 again last night in Southampton and needed all 40 minutes to lock in the win.
