BDO Dunwoody Atom's Take Two Last Week
The BDO Dunwoody Atom BB Storm continued their winning ways with a couple of games this week.  Tuesday, the Storm travelled to Hanover to take on the Falcons in their nice new arena.  Hanover opened the scoring halfway through the first but the Storm answered back less than a minute later when Brayden Horseman and Ben Lalonde fought for the puck along the boards, got it out to Emma Vanhaelemeesch who took the shot and scored.

Later in the first with the Storm on the power play, Isaac Fewster passed the puck in deep to Justin Marlowe who found an open corner.  There was no scoring in the second but the third was the exact opposite.  Five minutes in, Hanover would tie things up.  Less than a minute later, William Forsyth would get the puck from the blue line to Hunter Cannon, pass to Marlowe, who put it in the net.  Forty-four seconds later, Hanover would tie things up again.  Less than a minute later with the Storm on the power play, Jack Middleton would send a shot through the air from the point and Cam Lightfoot would tip it in for the go-ahead goal.  The Storm would get a little insurance at the 12 minute mark of the third with a pass from Hunter Cannon to Isaac Fewster who took a shot from the point and Justin Marlowe would put in the rebound.  The Storm won 5-3 with some great saves by Christian Doubt.

Saturday afternoon, the Peninsula Stars came to town.  There was a lot of back & forth action in the first but in the final two minutes of the first, Emma Vanhaelmeesch would score on the power play with assists going to Ben Lalonde and Hunter Cannon.  Just as the second got underway, Justin Marlowe took a shot and it hit the goalie but bounced over him for a goal.  Exactly two minutes later, the Stars would find the back of the net.  The Storm quickly answered as Isaac Fewster would clear the zone to Marlowe who took it to the opposite blue line and let it fly and it flew right past the goalie.  A minute later, Justin would go in alone and bury one for the hat trick, but he wasn’t done.  Early in the third, Emma Vanhaelemeesch passed to Brayden Horseman who got the puck to Marlowe and he put it in for his fourth of the game.  Great hustle from defensemen Kent Ribey and Nolan Dereski as well at forward Shawn Charlebois.  The Storm win 5-1.
