BDO Dunwoody Atom Storm Finish Regular Season with Road Win
For the final game of the regular season, the BDO Dunwoody Saugeen Shores Atom BB Storm traveled to Goderich to take on the Sailors.  The Storm was on fire in the first.  Three minutes in, Justin Marlow made a pass behind the net to Emma Vanhaelemeesch who fed it out front to Shawn Charlebois.

A few minutes later, Kent Ribey cleared the zone, Justin Marlowe picked up the puck, went all the way to the net and beat the goalie.  From the face off, Nolan Dereski passed up to Emma Vanhaelemeesch who got it to Shawn Charlebois for his second of the game.  Right off the face off again, Hunter Cannon passes to Cam Lightfoot for three goals in 38 seconds.  Goderich would get on the scoreboard before the end of the period.

The Goderich goalie found his groove in the second.  It took a great backhand by Justin Marlowe from Hunter Cannon to beat him.  The Sailors had a great chance halfway through the period and the fans thought they had scored but Christian Doubt had made a beautiful save.  As the second was winding down, Nolan Dereski got the puck to Jack Middleton down low and he passed it across to Emma Vanhaelemeesch who sent a rocket to the net that beat the goalie’s stick.

The Sailors put some pressure on is the third but, with a minute and a half left in the game, Brayden Horseman fed Shawn Charlebois the puck to give him his hat trick.  Isaac Fewster and William Forsyth did a great job defending the net with an exceptional move in the third by Nolan Dereski.  Ben Lalonde was quick in the face off circle.  The Storm got the win by a score of 7-1 ready to take on Collingwood in the first round of the playoffs.
