BDO Dunwoody Storm Take Two This Week
The BDO Dunwoody Atom BB Storm had two games this week that didn’t get snowed out.  Friday night, they were home to the Arran Elderslie Icedogs.  The Storm got the only goal in the first period.  On the power play, Justin Marlowe came in and took a shot which went wide, bounced off the boards and came out front to Shawn Charlebois.  Justin Marlowe was also a part of the only goal in the second as he got the puck to Cam Lightfoot, who found the back of the net.

Early in the third, Kent Ribey, on the blue line, passed the puck down low to Ben Lalonde who got it across to Cam Lightfoot for his second of the game.  Thirty-six seconds later, Ben Lalonde got another shot, which the goalie stopped but Justin Marlowe came in to bury the rebound.  The Icedogs got on the board halfway though the period but the Storm answered twenty seconds later with a goal from Hunter Cannon to Justin Marlowe.  Before the end of the game, The Storm would get one more as Kent Ribey passed to Cam Lightfoot who got it to Justin Marlowe for the hat trick.  The Storm won it 6-1.

Sunday afternoon, The Storm was in Tiverton to take on their Highway 21 rivals, the Kincardine Kinucks.  Once again, the Storm got the first goal when Ben Lalonde passed behind the net to Shawn Charlebois who passed it out front to Emma Vanhaelemeesch.  With seven seconds left in the first, William Forsyth let one got from the blue line that found the net.  Early in the second, the Storm were on the power play and there was a battle in front of the net.  Shawn Charlebois took a shot, Emma Vanhaelemeesch tried to sink the rebound but that rebound went right up the middle to Kent Ribey who finally got it into the net.  The Kinucks would get a goal at the halfway point of the period.  A few minutes later, William Forsyth would take a shot from the blue line, the rebound came to Hunter Cannon who did the spin-erama and put it in the net.  Kincardine would get another goal just before the buzzer went to end the second.  The Kinucks would get one more in the third but the Storm would hang on for a 4-3 win. Brayden Horseman did a great job creating many opportunities in front of the net.  Isaac Fewster, Nolan Dereski & Jack Middleton were strong on defense and good work by Christian Doubt in net.
