BDO Dunwoody Atom's Down TCDMHA in Close Game
The BDO Dunwoody Saugeen Shores Atom BB Storm travelled to Keady Friday night to take on the TCDMHA Rebels.  After a lengthy warm-up, what turned out to be a very good game got underway with these two evenly-matched teams.

The first period had a lot of back and forth action.  There was great pressure from Shawn Charlebois, Cam Lightfoot and Justin Marlow with Jack Middleton and Nolan Dereski on the blue line and Christian Doubt made some good saves to end the period in a scoreless tie.  Both teams spent some time in the bad box in the second.  There was even some 4 on 4 action but no change in the score.  Unfortunately, Brayden Horseman aggravated an earlier injury and had to leave the game.  The third was just underway when Ben Lalonde passed the puck to Justin Marlowe who took it past the Rebel defense to finally get The Storm on the scoreboard.  The Rebels were quick to try and get the goal back but Christian made a great kick-out save.  With less than six minutes left in the game, the puck came out of the corner to Wade Kewageshig who spun and fired at the far corner of the net.  The Rebel goalie tried to slide across but didn’t make it in time.  The play started getting rough along the boards but that didn’t stop Emma Vanhaelemeesch from hustling after the puck and keeping the pressure on the Rebels.   Isaac Fewster has lost none of his defensive abilities as he filled in on the blue line with partner William Forsyth, who consistently does a great job.  The Storm won it 2-0.  Congratulations to Christian Doubt on a hard-earned fourth shutout of the season.
