ATOM AE Win 2 out of 3 after long break!!!
The Rosner/Krown Atom AE team came out strong after a long Christmas break.

At home the Atom AE faced the Tiverton Thunder on Jan. 2 to capture the win.  We started off with Tiverton controlling the puck and they got on the board to take a 1 -0 lead.  Only seconds went by in the 2nd period when Korey Thomas flipped one over the goalie assisted by Malcolm McIntosh and Cole Fraser to tie things up.  The teams played an even match until Kenneth Bollen got the go ahead goal assisted by Cole Fraser and Thomas Forsyth.  Tiverton answered back to make the score even again.  The boys went into the third period all tied up with great goal tending from both teams, hard work and great passing put the Storm ahead thanks to Murray Martin assisted by Dylan Pomroy.  Jake Ackert stayed strong in net with very determined Thunder pounding the net.
On Jan 5 the Rosner/Krown Atom AE visited Arran Elderslie and brought home a 4-2 win.  The Storm started the game off with a quick goal from Nicholas Lammie, assisted by Will Rickerby.  The storm showed great defence from Kelly Cobean, Cole Fraser, Brennan Harvie and Jake Greig to keep the opposition away from the net.  In the 2nd period both Kenneth Bollen and Malcolm McIntosh got on the board assisted by Nicholas Lammie and Korey Thomas.  Jake Ackert in net kept the storm ahead with some great stops to hold the Arran Elderslie down.  The 3rd period had alot of excitement with the Ice Dogs getting on board then answered back by the Storm when Murray Martin assisted by Malcolm McIntosh got another past the goalie.  That didn't stop the Ice Dogs only 1 minute left in the game got through the Storm to make the final score 4-2.
The storm travelled to Lions Head on Jan 8 and fell 4-3, hard efforts from Kenneth Bollen  put the storm on the board assisted by Nicholas Lammie early in the 2nd period.  The teams battled through the second period with Jake Ackert in net holding off the determined Lions Head team.  The storm went ahead 2-1 with a fast wrist shot from Will Rickerby again assisted by Nicholas Lammie.  In the third period the Lions Head team came out strong dominating the puck and put 2 quick goals past Jake Ackert, the Storm answered back with a rush from our defenceman Kelly Cobean who skated from one end of the ice to the other and smoked one by the goalie but wasn't enough to take the win.
