Rosner/Krown take the win!!
The Atom AE team faced Arran Elderslie in Southampton on Monday night and the boys came out strong in the first period.
The Atom AE controlled the puck in the first period to come away with 2 goals only 4 minutes in. The first goal goes to Will Rickerby who controlled the puck through the opposition to fire it by the Arran Elderslie goalie, the assist is awarded to Thomas Forsyth (AF)for he great passing. Only a few seconds later Malcolm McIntosh pass right out front to Evan Lamont(AF) who smoked it by the goalie. Arran Elderslie had some chances in the first but couldn't get it by Jake Ackert.. Arran Elderslie got all fired up in the second period and took control but with our great defence Kelly Cobean, Jakob Greig, Brennan Harvie and Murray Martin the boys could shut them down and when they got by the solid goal tending kept the score 2-0. In the 3rd period both teams played strong our forwards had some chances then Nick Lammie had a quick pass to Malcolm McIntosh who smoked it through to put Saugeen Shores ahead 3-0. Jake Ackert had some action in front of the net, Arran Elderslie where detemined to get on the board, with a scramble in front Ackert lost his stick and from behind Arran Elderslie got one by him. Kenneth Bollen and Korey Thomas work hard to get that back but with only minutes left the Atom AE held down the opposition to take the win.
