Atom AE battled with Shallow Lake
On Saturday Nov. 1st the Atom AE played the Shallow Lake Thunder.
In the first period the Storm were battling hard and great passing attempts by forwards Murray Martin, Korey Thomas and Malcolm McIntosh but despite their efforts Shallow Lake managed to slip one by goalie Jake Ackert. The Storm almost came back with a breakaway by Kenneth Bollen, but the strong goaltending of the Thunder kept it close. In he second period Shallow Lake had another goal to make it 2-0. The the storm came back scored by Will Rickerby who caugh a nice rebound off Nick Lammie's shot. The ended the second with Shallow Lake leading 2-0. The storm started the 3rd with a penalty and hard work killed the penalty to keep it close. Unfortunately the Storm's great defense work from Cole Fraser, Brennan Harvie, Jakob Greig, and Kelly Cobean couldn't keep the Thunders strong offense away and they went on the score 4 unanswered goals with the final score of 6-1. Next game is Friday Nov 7th at the Plex @ 6:45.
