A hard fought game against Brussels/Blyth
The Heathers Poodle Care , Ralph's Shoppette Bantam Girls put up their strongest game of the year and despite the final score of 5-1 this game was a very well played contest with end to end rushes from start to finish.
The line of Amber Hou, Victoria Matheson and Abby Acton used their strong skating skills to lead rush after rush into the other teams zone. Amber H. was rewarded with a goal on one occasion. Our other line of Rachel Kelly, Amber Rowley and Sarah Underwood used strong forechecking to hem the opponents in their zone. Only strong goaltending and some bad luck kept our side from piling up the goals. The teams positional play continues to improve which showed well when the defence needed to clear pucks from our end. Kenzie Hall, Kelly Robertson, Nicki Walker Taylor Ferguson and Ainsley Herron were strong at moving the puck and protecting Tiffany Kewagishig who made some great saves when the score was 2-1 to keep us in the game before things turned near games end. Great effort girls! Let's get those Kinucks on Sunday.
