Playoffs Start With A Win
The 6 team round robin playoffs for the bantam C' girls began on Wednesday night in Teeswater against the South Bruce Girls. The Heathers Poodle Care/Ralph's Shoppette girls came out flying and captured the first game by a 3-1 count. Amber Hou got things going with a nice play and a perfect shot to the low corner to put us in front to stay.

The score remained 1-0 until the third period when Savannah Brown lit the lamp twice, both goals the result of her strong wrist shot that the S.B. goalie is still looking for. All seemed good with a 3 goal cushion and Tiffany Kewagishig looking unbeatable in our net. However with about 6 minutes left, on a perfect screen shot the Otters were back in the game. With strong defensive play being one of our strengths, we held on tight and sealed the win. Our next game is Saturday against Grey Highlands. This is a regular season game which will not count in the playoff round robin. Our last game against this team saw us win 1-0, so it will be a good tune up for the Gretzky Tournament on the 21st 22nd and 23rd. as we take our act on the road for some stiff competition in Brantford.
