Showdown in Southampton
The Rebels met the Storm in Atom Local League play at the Coliseum on Saturday.
Riley McMillan had a fantastic game using his body to fight for the puck and skating fast to chase down a Rebel breakaway. Ismail Sirdar and Tehya Johnston both battled for control of the puck. Liam Kelly had a great showing in a strong defensive game and was a digger in front of the net to get into the play. Aiden deVries really muscled for the puck and seemed to have wings on his skates! Great passing by Quinn Fowler and Braden Kahgee. Our only goal was scored by veteran player Ethan Walsh with a nice goal in the first period. Defensive tactics provided by Jack Bennett, Camden Ritchie, Braydyn Roote, and Paydon Ritchie supported Kaden Vance in the net. Vance worked hard to keep the puck out of the net, saving many shots, but the opposition was fierce and the final score was 5:1 Rebels. Submitted by Jen Fowler
