A Storm brewing in Desboro!
The Atom team looked great in warm up at the Desboro arena with Storm players full of energy.
In the first period Riley McMillan stepped up his game taking control of the puck early in the game. Way to get in there Riley! The end of the first period the score was 2 – 0 for our opponents. But their lead was stalled through the 2nd period with no goals thanks to strong pressure from the Storm team and superior goal tending from Kaden “Krackle” Vance. Liam Kelly, Tehya Johnson and Cameron “Camo” Smith picked up speed throughout the game. Let‘s see you really pour on the power at our next game Saturday! With Cyrus Roote and Paydon Ritchie using their strength and determination on defense many attacks were defeated. We had some great moves and a strong shot in early in the 3rd which looked like a goal to the Strom fans, but was not recognized by the officials. The Desboro team pull out a third goal in the last period. With less than a minute to go in the 3rd, Braydyn Roote passes it up the boards to Ethan who takes a look and completes a pass to “Fow-dog” whose sights are set on a goal in the 3rd. Fowler skates the puck in for a shot and scores with 26 seconds to go. The kids celebrate a late-in-the-game success but it was not enough to pull out a W.
