The LL4 McNuggets took on another Saugeen shores local league team LL1 on Saturday afternoon at the Plex in Port Elgin. A notably well played game by both teams, however our McNuggets pulled out on top for a 3-1 win.
What started out to be a slow paced game for the McNuggets was true for cleavers team as well. Maybe it was the afternoon time slot that threw the kids for a loop. Both teams struggled through the first period with no points had by either team, and not very many shots either.
The second period had much better gameplay and the McNuggets managed to sink two and went into the third period at a 2-0 advantage. Each team got 1 more in the third to leave the final score at 3-1 for the McNuggets.
Honorable mentions for Saturdays game were Brandon, Liam, And Will each getting a goal and Will also picking up an assist.
Nicholas showed determination and exhibited great gameplay throughout the game and was awarded the game puck for his efforts. Great work Captain Bruiser!
We ramp up this weekend starting on Thursday for another hockey filled weekend.
