Willy's Contracting Clinch First Place
Willy’s Novice LL Tm#2 defeated Saugeen Shores Tm#3 by the score of 7 –2 Saturday afternoon at The Plex. In doing so, they mathematically assured themselves of finishing in first place for the regular season in the WOAA Novice LL North Division.
Kaya Hall and Spencer Sutter-Lammie each registered a hattrick with Dylan Poulsen contributing a solo marker. The whole team was praised for their forechecking and backchecking and it’s nice to see everyone involved. Braydyn Root seemed to have the puck everytime he was on the ice but good goaltending by Emerson Gottscheu was able to keep him off the scoresheet until the third period when he set up Spencer for his third. Braydyn earned the Digger Award for his great game. Kaya’s first goal of the game was his 100th official goal as a Novice hockey player. Congratulations Kaya! Quite an accomplishment at any level of hockey. Next game tomorrow, Saturday, @ 12pm The Plex.
