Willy's Contracting Novice LL Team#2 visited Tara Thursday night and made Wee Willy proud.
Backed by Kaya Hall’s Gordie Howe hattrick, three goals, an assist, and a penalty, Saugeen Shores defeated Arran-Elderslie 7- 4. Playing a strong game at both ends was Olivia Hall and coupled with her two goals earned the Digger Award. Spencer Sutter-Lammie also had a Gordie Howe hattrick with one goal, one assist, and one penalty. Dylan Poulsen rang a hard one off the post but was rewarded minutes later with a nice goal. Quinn Fowler and Ritchie Carter each had assists and played hard on the puck all game. Emily Russett showed her penalty killing skills with her team down two players. Zach Leaver is shaking his head from missing his chances and carrying the puck out of trouble time and again was steady defenceman Kayden Krackel Vance. Braydyn Root moved up to center from defence and strengthened our attack and Camden Ritchie was relentless with his tough board work. Cali Drope may have had her best skating game of the season and held her own in the puck battles. This weekend features back-to-back games Saturday and Sunday at The Plex against Saugeen Shores Tm#3.
