Midget AE's Win Game 2 - Brody Farrish earns 4th shutout of season and his first of the playoffs.
The Saugeen Shores Legault's Independent Grocer Storm Midget AE's took a rescheduled game 2 of their OMHA playdowns (best 3 of 5 game series or first to 6 points) on the road in Mitchell Friday night. The Storm lead the series 3 points to 1.

Opening the scoring was the Storm's Stephen Pilar on a backhand that found the back of the net at the 12:39 mark of the first period. Assisting on the play was Justin Greig. The Storm made it 2-0 at the 6:55 minute mark of the first on a goal by Matt Teschke assisted by James Besito.

James Besito got his own goal early in the second period assisted by Dalton Reany. The Storm amassed 8 minor penalties in this game to Mitchell's one. However, the penalty killing was flawless as the Storm played 8 minutes shorthanded in the first and 6 minutes short in the second.

Taking a 3-0 lead into the third, the Storm played sound defensive hockey, shutting down the Mitchell offense which came out flying at the beginning of the third. However,by the 10 minute mark Mitchell's aggressive play led to their first penalty of the game. The Storm continued to play defence and even when, with less than 4 minutes to go, they were assessed their 8th  minor penalty they shutdown the powerplay allowing Mitchell very few chances on goal.

Game 3 is scheduled to be played at the plex Saturday afternoon and game 4 on Sunday afternoon.
