Southampton Foodland/Carson Plumbing End Losing Streak
The Saugeen Shores Novice Tm #1 bounced back with a win after two consecutive losses to the Shallow Lake teams. The visiting Walkerton novices lost a squeeker to Saugeen Shores at The Plex on Saturday afternoon by a 4 - 3 score.

Jolina McLean kept her goalie record in tact at four wins and no losses with another great performance. After enjoying a few games as a skater, Jolina temporarily returned to the nets to backstop her team to a welcomed win. She played steady throughout the game while her counterpart at the other end made some fantastic saves of his own. Namely a point blank shot from Blake Shields that somehow found its way into the goalie's glove. Walkerton opened the scoring 4 minutes into the game. After Jolina made a good initial save Bryce Quanbury pounced on the rebound to put the visitors up. Another 4 minutes of good scoring chances by each team went by before Kaya Hall went end to end before putting the puck in the top right corner to tie the game. Both goalies continued to play well until Spencer Sutter-Lammie scored mid-way through the second period to put the home team up for the first time.  Bryce scored his second of the game to begin the third to again tie the score but with just 3 minutes remaining, Spencer netted his second and ten seconds later Kaya Hall set the Bull-dog up for his third goal which proved to be the game winner.  Walkerton could only manage to get one more past Jolina who closed the door to preserve the win. Practice times and holidays are the order until the new year. Merry Christmas. ho ho ho.
