SSMHA Represented Well At LttleNHL Tournament
Players from the Saugeen Shores area participated in the subject tournament which comprised of Ontario First Nation communities from all across Ontario. This years tournament was held over the March Break in Sudbury and consisted of 103 teams and more than 2200 participants. Of particular note is the play of Daniel Kimewon. His performance during the tournament caught the eye of the Scouts and earned him a tryout with the provincial Jr A Cobourg Cougars. Players from the Saugeen Shores Novice LL Team #1 were Mercedes Roote, Keyanna Kimewon, and Braydyn Root. The following is how our teams fared: Tykes: played well but lost their four games. Novices: lost in C Division semi-finals. Atoms: lost in B Championship. PeeWee: C Champions. Bantam: D Champions. Midget: lost in A semi-finals.
