Home Hardware/Dunlop Fuels Novice BB spread holiday cheer and played some hockey too!!

The Home Hardware/Dunlop Fuels Novice Rep team were busy spreading holiday cheer and played some hockey too!!  The Novice Storm players donated toys to the “98The Beach’s “Toy Drive.  Their donations helped make the Christmas holidays a little brighter for some needy families and deserving children. Thanks for making it a success !!  

 

 



The Storm started the week, traveling to Listowel on SundayNovember 30th.  The Storm struggled inthe first period and found themselves down by one.  The Cyclones kept up the pressure and scoredtwo unanswered goals to lead the Storm by 3 with 3 minutes left in thesecond.  The Storm regrouped and with everything in place began their comeback.. Cameron Lightfoot fed Justin Marlowe  who found the back of thenet.   One minute later, Trevor Donaldson weaved through the Cyclones and slid the puck by the goalie.    With only seconds left in the second.   Lightfoot made a pass to Marlowe who went top shelf to tie the game.  Stormwingers, Lalonde, Vanhaelmeesch and Maksymyk  kept the Cyclone goalie busy but it was  Marlowe  who found the back of the net twice in thethird to give the Storm the 5-3 win. 

The  undefeated Walkerton Capitals faced off against the Storm  on Thursday December 4th.  The Capitals dominated the game  the first two periods but strong defensive plays by Issac and Austin Fewster kept the Storm in the game.  With a minute left in the second period, Trevor Donaldson went end to end and slid the puck pass by the Capitals goalie to put the Storm on the board.   The Storm started the third off strong with Ben Lalonde's pass  finding Donaldson's stick.  Donaldson passed to Jack Middleton who buried the puck.   Marlowe drove to the net and added another goal for the Storm late in the third.   Walkerton continued their undefeated streak with a 9-3 win over the Storm.
