Trevor Donaldson was selected to participate in the
Chevrolet Safe and Fun Festival featuring
Bobby Orr and Cassie Campbell at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa November 28th & 29th. The Chevrolet Safe and Fun Festival emphasis is respect, responsibility and teaching good values to everyone in the game of hockey.
Chevrolet Safe and Fun Festival is designed to help today's enthusiasts develop positive attitude towards healthy competition, teamwork, fair play and grace under pressure. The program was a unique blend of skill development, off ice activities and lectures. Trevor participated in a meet and greet Friday night.
Trevor is a devoted Boston Bruin and Bobby Orr Fan. He was able to get up close and personal with his favorite player. Bobby and Cassie autographed various items and talked one on one with the participants. The next day, Trevor laced up his skates and took to the ice with Bobby, Cassie and other participants from around the province of Ontario. They worked on fun drills that developed skating and puck handling skills while having fun. The participants had a chance to go behind the scenes with the Oshawa Generals. They met several players, saw the dressing rooms and their workout. They visited the Oshawa Generals Hall of Fame where lots of Bobby Orr memorabilia was displayed as well as seeing Bobby's recently retired #2 jersey.
