Novice BB Win Against Kitchener
The Novice BB played 3 very competitive hockey games during the Owen Sound Fall Classic this past weekend against Owen Sound, Dundas and Kitchener.
The Port Elgin Home Hardware/Dunlop Fuels came together as a team and showed steady growth throughout the weekend.
Results:
Loss 3-8 vs Owen Sound
Loss 6-8 vs Dundas
Win 4-3 vs Kitchener
The Novice Storm's defense, Nolan Dereski, Kiandra Martin, Isaac Fewster & William Forsyth, were stellar throughout the weekend. The blocking of shots and clearing the puck from our zone were key to our victory on Saturday. Goaltender Tarik McKay was solid between the pipes and came up with some crucial saves.
The Storm's offense over the weekend was lead by Trevor Donaldson(7 goals), Justin Marlowe(5 goals) and Sam Maksymyk netted his first goal of the season. Assists went to each member of our team showing the Storm's team effort and hard work.
The Novices hope to build on this experience when they start their regular season Saturday October 25th at the Plex 1:00pm against Listowel. Go Storm Go!!!
