BDO Dunwoody Atoms finish up busy weekend
The Saugeen Shores BDO Dunwoody Atoms played 4 games over 4 days last weekend and finished with a 1-2-1 record. On Friday night, the Storm headed to Walkerton for a game against the Capitals.  It was a seesaw battle all night with the game ending in a 4-4 tie.  Tristan Rajendra scored 2 goals for the team with Eric Langridge and Brendan Morano adding singles.  Assisting on the goals were Tyler Donaldson, Harrison Alvarez, Morano, and Chris Gilbert.

On Saturday, the Storm was again on the road, this time against the Seaforth Stars.  The boys got on the board first but in the end were beaten 5-3.  Scoring for the Storm were Tristan Rajendra, Tyler Donaldson and Hayden Duplantis.  Michael Fiegehen and Brendan Morano assisted on the goals for the Atoms.

On Sunday, it was back in the car again as the team headed to Listowel.  The team played a stronger game then the last meeting with the Cyclones, but in the end lost 4-1.  Scoring the lone goal for the Storm was Harrison Alvarez on an assist from Brendan Morano.

The final game of the 4 game stretch was a rematch against Walkerton in Southampton on Monday night.  The team was on fire from the opening faceoff with passing, solid defence and strong goaltending all part of the victory.  In the end, the Storm came away with a 7-1 victory. Paul Leger, Michael Bohnert, Chris Gilbert and Eric Langridge worked to keep the puck out of the home team’s end for most of the night. Leading all scorers was Brendan Morano with his first hat trick of the season.  Tyler Donaldson and Michael Fiegehen added two goals each.  Assisting on the plays were Harrison Alvarez, Hayden Duplantis, Morano and Donaldson.  Jack Flarity played a solid game in net narrowly missing a shutout in the final 2 minutes of the game.

Next up for the BDO Dunwoody Storm is a weekend tournament in Fergus.
