BDO Dunwoody Atoms continue to work together - written by Christine Flarity
The BDO Dunwoody Atoms played two games over the weekend and finished off with a win and a loss. On Friday night, the Storm was up against Kincardine at the Coliseum in Southampton.  The weather outside was frightful but the team play inside was delightful…for most of the game anyway.  The home team got on the board first when Michael Fiegehen scored on assists from Eric Langridge and Tristan Rajendra.  Kincardine tied it up at the end of the first and it stayed that way in the second period for the Storm thanks to some key saves from Jack Flarity.  However, the Kinucks began to pull away in the third period.  They scored two goals before Eric Langridge answered back with less than 2 minutes to play to bring the game to 3-2.  Unfortunately for the Storm, they were unable to take advantage of an extra man on the power play and lost when Kincardine scored on an empty net.

Next up for the Storm was an away game on Sunday afternoon against the Goderich Sailors, who had beaten them in their first meeting this season.  Saugeen Shores came out strong in the opening period and built up a 2-0 lead thanks to 2 goals by Michael Fiegehen.  He was assisted on the plays by Tristan Rajendra and Paul Leger.  The Sailors scored one in the second before the Storm added another in the opening minutes of the third to give them a 3-1 lead.  Brendan Morano scored for the team on an assist by Eric Langridge.  Offensive plays from Tyler Donaldson, Hayden Duplantis and Harrison Alvarez helped the Storm continue to charge at the net.  But the Sailors were not finished.  They battled back to tie the game before Morano scored with 3 ½ minutes to go on an assist from Langridge to give the Storm a one goal lead.  Solid defensive play from Michael Bohnert and Chris Gilbert kept the Storm in the win column.

The Storm plays two games this weekend including Sunday afternoon at home before enjoying a break for Christmas.
