BDO Dunwoody Atoms earn 1st win in exhibition play
The Saugeen Shores BDO Dunwoody Atoms played two games in Owen Sound recently and came away with a 1-1 record.
First up were the Owen Sound Junior Attack Major Atoms. The Storm came out strong but just couldn’t hang on as the Attack pulled away in the third and a 6-1 victory.
This past weekend, the Storm played against the Minor Atoms at the Bayshore. From the beginning, the boys skated hard and played solid defense and were able to defeat Owen Sound by a score of 10-5.
Leading the way for the Storm was Eric Langridge and Paul Leger who each scored hatricks. Singles were added by Chris Gilbert, Brendan Morano, Michael Fiegehen and Hayden Duplantis.
Assisting on the goals for the Storm were Tristan Rajendra, Gilbert, Fiegehen, Michael Bohnert, Harrison Alvarez, Duplantis, Leger and Tyler Donaldson.
Jack Flarity played a solid game in net, not allowing a goal until late in the 2nd period.
Next up for the BDO Dunwwody Atoms is a tournament in Owen Sound October 17th-19th.
