Peewee Local #1 Storm dropped a 3-1 loss on the road against TCDMHA.
The Power Workers Union Training Inc. and Bruce County Physiotherapy Peewee Local #1 traveled
to Keady for their first game in almost two weeks on November 30,
2008 and just couldn’t seem to get
on track. A hustling TCMDHA team and a small ice surface combined to put the
Storm behind by a score of 3-0 after
two periods of play despite stellar goaltending by Storm keeper
(Olivier Caudle). Tyler Dietrich opened the score (unassisted) at the 7:47 mark of the first period, and then potted
his 2nd of the contest with help from Evan Longland to give the home
team a 2 goal lead at the 5:17 mark
of the1st.
Ben Harrison
finished off a passing play with linemates Benson Gibbons and Dylan Stephen at
the 5:38 mark of the2nd to
increase the lead to 3.
To their credit the
Storm came out of the dressing room and gave it their all for the 3rd
frame. Taylor Cameron broke the goose-egg on a pass from Harrison Williams to
get the Storm on the board. Despite numerous chances and lots of effort the
Storm just couldn’t buy a bounce and the game ended in a 3-1 loss.
Next action for the
Storm will see TCDMHA return for a match at the Plex on Saturday, December
6th at 2:15 p.m., and then
they will travel north to Lion’s Head on Saturday, August 13th for a
3:oo pm match.
