The Power Workers Union Training Inc. and Bruce County Physiotherapy Peewee Local #1 Storm earn a tie and win over Christmas holiday.
The Storm hosted Saugeen Shores Storm #2 on December 21st in a very even and entertaining game that ended in a 3-3 draw.   SS#1 struck first with Harrison Williams scoring an unassisted marker with 4:10 left on the clock in the first period. Both teams tried their best to score more however Olivier Caudle and Joey Seymour were outstanding in goal and closed the door on their respective opponents.

Charlie Wilkinson scored to tie the game just over a minute into the second period on a setup from Connor Speer. Similar to the first period, both teams tried their best to tally more goals but Caudle and Seymour slammed the door again.

Wilkinson came out flying to start the 3rd period and notched a solo marker to give his team the lead at the 12:18 mark. Both teams displayed excellent sportsmanship, defensive play and lots of scoring opportunities for the bulk of the period with Harrision Williams notching his 2nd of the contest to even the game again at the 4:59 mark. Josh Stewart put his team in front with 2:39 on the clock on an unassisted effort, however Wilkinson made a nifty move around the defenders with only :43 seconds left in the game to knot the game at 3 and pick up a hat-trick.

A great display by everyone on both teams.

The Storm then had a lay-off over the Christmas season until January 3rd when they hosted TCDMHA #1.

Although it looked like the lads enjoyed lots of turkey and couch potatoes, they were keen from the drop of the puck and controlled the game from the outset.

Josh Stewart potted the first goal of the game at the 2:35 mark of the 1st period assisted by Taylor Cameron, and then followed with his 2nd of the game with only :46 seconds left to play in the period with help from Sawyer Greig and Coby Stanley.

Taylor Cameron notched his first of the contest just :49 seconds into the 2nd period on a solo effort. Brandon Wienecke put TCDMHA on the board at the 12:59 mark to cut the lead to 2. Taylor Cameron replied with his 2nd of the day less than a minute later off a pass from Josh Stewart. Tyler Mustard responded at 9:55 to cut the lead to 2 again, however Stewart potted his 3rd of the match to put the Storm up by 3 once again. Never giving up, Branden Wienecke potted his 2nd of the game with from Mustard to once again cut the lead to 2. Taylor Cameron was determined to add some cushion for his team and potted 2 more goals less than a minute apart to give the Storm a lead of 7-3 at the end of 2 periods.

The Storm continued to roll in the 3rd with Ben Walker notching one for the home team just :23 seconds into the frame. Austin Henry added a solo marker 4 minutes later, and Taylor Cameron notched his 5th of the game on a set up from Austin Henry and Ben Walker to finish the game with a score of 10-3. The score was not indicative of the goaltending as both Olivier Caudle (Storm) and Victor Ramage (TCDMHA) turned away numerous shots in a very offensive game.

Next action for the Storm will see them compete in the Drayton Tournament on January 10th, and then travel to Tara on January 14th.
