Saugeen Shores defeats Kincardine midweek
Still undefeated in regular season play, the Saugeen Shores Atom AE Team goes on to defeat Kincardine Kinucks rivals.

Storm came out strong and determined to withhold their ranking, and that they did.  Only offering up one goal midway through the first, the Storm immediately returned the weather.  Brodie Palinsky sunk one into the opposing net tying up the game 1-1 in the first.  The storm grew stronger, dominating the game by making in 2-1 in the second and one more in the third tallying up a 3-1 win over the Kinucks.  Goals were had by Ozzie Alpaugh, and Owen Sheenan.  Charlie, Cam, Hunter, and Carson offered up the assists for the teams goals. Keep up the great work!  A well played game by all including some stellar saves by Kelvin Gottschalk, including quick responses to drop on the puck and shut down the opposition.

Having home ice advantage, and a respectable 6:00pm puck drop may have aided in the 3-1 win over Kincardine.  Capitalizing on some unanswered passes across the house in the rivals end, and missing some opportune passes throughout the periods could have raised the bar even higher. Something to work on in upcoming ice times.

We reconvene Thursday evening for a 7:00PM puck drop in Clinton at Central Huron Community Centre.  See you all there!

“There’s always something in the game you wish you would have done different. That’s why players improve, because they learn from what they did before. They might have been guessing before, but now they know.” – Gordie Howe
