Just another shut out.
Bantam C Girls post 4th straight shut out in a 1-0 win. This is not a recording. The team has yet to give up a goal in 2014 and as good as Tiffany has been this shut out was a team effort. The girls held West Grey to a limited number of shots and when the opposition did get a shot away one of our strong defencemen were usually able to block it our re direct the puck.
The scoring was taken care of early in the game with Savannah Brown on a wrap around goal that held up as the winner. It wasn't like we didn't have more chances but the West Grey goalie made some very good saves, especially on Sarah Bester who had a break away and another in close attempt foiled. The girls don't get any time to savor this win as they travel to Thornbury on Friday to play the Georgian Shores Lightning and then to Teeswater to visit the South Bruce girls. These 2 games will test our 6 game winning streak and 8 game undefeated run, but you have to like their chances when you play team defence as tough as they do.
