Port Elgin Home Hardware/Dunlop Fuels Novice BB gold medal finalist at the Austin Holley Memorial Tournament!
The Saugeen Shores Storm started strong Saturday when they met Flesherton.


With a 3-2 lead at the end of the 1st period, they widen the gap with 2 more goals within the first minute of the 2nd period. It seemed they were unstoppable when another 2 goals were scored half way through the period. The determined Flesherton team came back with 3 goals in the final 3 minutes of the 2nd period, bringing the score to 7-5. The start of the 3rd seen Flesherton with a another goal. Sparking a defencemen from the Storm to score! A short battle had Flesherton come back with one more and the Storm to finish it with one more bringing the final score to 9-7.
Game 2 had the Storm matched against the Arran Elderslie Icedogs. The Port Elgin Home Hardware/Dunlop Fuels Novice BB had the Arran Elderslie's goalie standing on his head trying to stop the 9 goals scored during game 2! At the end of this game all players on the Storm team including the goalie came away with at least 1 goal or an assist!
The goal medal game took place Sunday afternoon. The Saugeen Shores Storm were matched against the Stayner Cyclones. Stayner started off strong with 3 goals in the first period. Nether team was able to pull off a goal in the 2nd, although they had many chances. It seemed the Cyclones goalie was headed for a shut out when finally Saugeen Shores Storm were finally able to get one past their goalie in the final 2 minutes of play! The final score 5-1!
