Storm Face Owen Sound Jr. Attack in Back to Back Matches to end Reg. Season
The Storm Travelled to Owen Sound Friday night to take on the league dominating Jr. Attack, and then faced them in a Saturday Afternoon matinee at the Plex.
Friday night we arrived in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Owen Sound ready to play right from the faceoff this was an exciting match. The Storm played very well against the Attack who was a very skilled team with some great players. Despite our efforts we fell to them 5-0 not able to beat the opponent’s great goaltending. The Coaches where very happy with the way the team played and managed to hold them to no goals in the third period. Good job team!! Saturday afternoon we met the Attack again at home, once again despite our best efforts we fell to them again with a score of 5-0. The team tried hard but had problems getting out of our end as the Attack displayed their great skills on ice. Once again we held them to no goals in the third. On the Plus side we have finished with an excellent Regular Season record of 15-4-1. That is something to be very proud of as a Team!!! That being said the Coaches are getting ready for playoff as we are confident we have secured a seat in the “A Loop” and will be playing for the WOAA Novice North division Championship. We won’t know much as all teams had until Feb 3rd to finish the regular season. Once this has been completed we will be going to a scheduling meeting to schedule the payoff games.
