Saugeen Storm #3 Play Third Playoff Game
Storm #3 faced Storm#4 a nail biting match-up vs  Storm #4.  This was a great playoff game for both teams as it was a true battle of the goaltenders, as there where plenty of scoring chances for both teams.

This game started off with some great puck movement from both teams as the play moved up and down the ice with both goaltenders making spectacular saves at each end.  The Storm#3 wingers, "Hound Dog", Sabra and Andy were fantastic at helping get the puck out of our end as well as winning battles along boards and in the opponents corners as well as getting to the front of the net.  Our centers, Wes and Caleb continued to help move puck out of our end and help create some great scoring chances for out team but it wasn't until 4:54 of the first Caleb netted a well deserved goal on a beauty play.  Storm #4 came back shortly after at 3:50 and tied it up and the score remained one all at then end of the first.
In the second our defencemen, Brennan, Jack, Devin and Zach were awesome at catching the breaking players from Storm#4 as some of them could really skate with the puck.  Our defencemen made no mistake either when it came to getting the puck out of our zone as they did it perfectly almost every time as well as holding a strong blueline at the other end of the ice.  As both teams battled hard for the puck Talan was spectacular in net making some truly fantastic saves out there and covering up for the whistle when he had to.  We some amazing rushes from Jack, Wes, Caleb and even Zach and Devin had their chances skating with it when they saw the open ice.  But it was a great play by Wes to move puck up ice took the shot and Caleb managed to get the rebound and tuck home his second of the game to make it 2-1.
We saw no scoring in the third but both teams were battling hard and had a lot of chances but Talan would not let them get one by him.  We saw Andy, Sabra, "Hound Dog" and Brennan have a few chances out front but could not capitalize on their chances.
This was a great game by all players on the team.  They all played very well and did not give up one inch of ice and the Coaches where very proud of them.
I forgot to mention in the last article that Jack was awarded the Digger Award vs the Jr Attack as he play a great game and scored his 30th goal of the season that game, a huge maker for any player in any league.  Congrats Jack the Coaches are very proud of you!!!
Caleb scored his 30th and his 31st in this game and the Coaches would congratulate him as well as once again 30+ goals is a huge accomplishment in a season.
But the Digger award was given to the hardest working player on the ice and the Coaches all had the same player in mind with Brennan, as he was great in all areas of the ice fighting down low in our end, getting puck out, and going to the net in the opponents end as well as displaying his skills with skating with the puck.  Congrats Brennan!!!
Next game is 6pm in Southampton Monday March 4th as we are facing Storm #1, see you there guys!!!
