Storm Travel to Shalow Lake to take on Lakers
The Storm rolled into Shallow Lake Sunday afternoon looking to extend their road trip success.  They knew this would be a great game as the last time these two teams met it was a 2 all draw.

Both teams looked ready to play today as the puck was active and play went up and down the ice.  The Storm got off to a great start with an early goal from Caleb with assists from Sabra and Liam showing great teamwork and puck movement.  The Lakers being the great team they are didn't get down and got one back to even it up at 1 each halfway through the first.  The Storm kept up the great work with Wes moving the puck up the wing, and Devin rushing it from the defense both extending their great performance from the day before.
The Second period we saw some great work from our defense keeping the puck in and moving it out.  As well the wingers going to the net and getting rebounds as the shots came in.  Liam, Sabra, Brennan and Andy kept working away down in The Lakers zone as Zach, Nick, Devin, where all over the ice keeping the puck in the Lakers zone and moving the puck up to the forwards as well as getting into the rush.  Caleb and Wes continued their great performances as they skated with ease through the neutral zone but unable to beat the hot Laker goaltender.  We saw poor Liam "The Hound Dog" take a penalty that was actually called on Nick but in his true team spirit sat out for the 2 minutes and continued on his great game.  With 44 seconds left in the period we saw some more great teamwork as Caleb scored again with assists from his defensemen Zach and Nick making it 2-1 for The Storm.
Early in the third we saw Caleb, Sabra, and Liam working very well together as they netted another for the team earning the team a 3-1 lead.  Nick continued to play great as he was joining the rush and working hard in our hard in our zone to get it out.  Brennan proved to be on fire the entire game as he was all over the ice fighting for loose pucks and and digging along the boards and in the corner for them.  Zach played a solid defensive game as Devin would move the puck up the ice and Andy, Sabra, Liam were always going to the net for the rebounds if they where there.  Shallow Lake got one back to make it a close 3-2 game and a tough battle for the last 3 minutes but Talan was solid in net the whole game and refused to let the team down making stop after stop and covering it up.
Brennan was awarded The Digger award as he really impressed the Coaches and played his best game all year with great skating and had work along the boards and corners.
Great job Team!!! Coaches where really proud after that excellent game.
Next game Saturday at the Plex against Local League Team#4 @ 1pm
