Our first game on saturday was against the so far this year unbeaten Shallow Lake Lakers team. All the spectator(shallow lake fans)  talk on this one was that it was to be a blow out for shallow Lake, but everyone wearing Blue and white knew that this would not be the case. The first period had Shallow Lake with the edge and came out with a 3-0 lead. A Quick pep talk from the Storm Coaching staff at the intermission had a huge impact on the storm players and they came out with a relentless forecheck which resulted in a goal from 7 calean Macdonald bringing the deficit to 2. Again in the 3rd period with the storm playing as a team and moving the puck well we were able to apply lots of pressure which resulted in the Lakers taking a penalty. It was this power play that 8 Jarrett Trumbley was able to fire off ablistering wrist shot from the point into the topshelf of the net bringing the score to 3-2. The rest of the 3rd period was back and forth with the Lakers netting 1 more reulting in a tough fought 4-2 loss.
Game #2 saw our Storm team up against the Flesherton golden Hawks which other than a lack luster 1st period was all Storm. Every player on the Storm team contributed in the Scoring and resulting in a 11-2 win putting our team into the Silver Medal game vs the Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs.
The Ice Dogs proved to be a very tough opponent for the Storm, but because of great defence and excellent puck movement by the forwards on both lines and the relentless forecheck we were able to cruize to victory and win the Silver medal with goals by 13 Joey Ackert(asst:by11 Kennedy Stauffer&7 Calean Macdonald) and 17 Olivia Hall and 4 Wyatt McNabb(asst: by 9 Finn Cushnie and 8 Jarrett Trumbley). The coaching staff and parents are very very proud of all 11 players and the hard work ethic they are putting forth each and every game. !!!CONGRATULATIONS TEAM!!!!
