5000 CLUB
They say it takes 10,000 hours to achieve true mastery in any skill. It could be playing the guitar, golfing, etc. etc. The Novice LL Team #2 players have been given a homework assignment that will help them to improve on their hockey skills.
This exercise follows the motto “practice makes perfect”. For a three week period, between Sunday 8th January and Saturday 28th January, their goal is to take 5000 shots or perform 5000 stickhandling manoeuvres. They must enter their count on a ledger each time they complete a session and have their parent initial it. The deck, the driveway, free time before hockey practice. Anywhere, anytime. The use of a ball or puck is acceptable. As an incentive, every team player who reaches the 5000 mark will have his or her name entered in a draw for a free registration to the next Hall’s Hockey PD Camp. Think Development.
