Midland - Bob Merkley Memorial Midget ‘A’ Silver Stick Tournament Results

The Saugeen Shores Martins’ Bike Shop Storm Midget 'A's played in the Bob Merkley Memorial Midget ‘A’ Silver Stick Tournament in Midland this past weekend and finished with a tie and a couple of losses.
Friday’s first game was a 4-4 tie against the Orillia Terriers with Saugeen Shores goals by Zach Walker with two(2) and singles by Josh Perdue and Tom Godwin.
The second game Friday and the game Saturday night were both 2-1 losses to the Acton Tanners and Lindsay Muskies respectively. Mitch Borden scored the lone Storm goal in the Acton game and Russ MacMillan scored in the Lindsay game.
Of note:
In the Orillia game, Orillia trailed 4-2 and scored a power play goal with 1:02 left in the third and then pulled the goalie and tied it with 4.6 seconds left.
In the Acton game, Acton broke a 1-1 tie with 5 seconds left to give them the 2-1 win.
