The Bruce County Physiotherapy/Lakeshore Recreation Bantam A/E Storm played their O.M.H.A quarter final series with Elmvale. In the first two games of the series, the Storm got out played and lost 8-0 in both of the games.

Saugeen Shores was facing elimination on Friday night in Southampton. The Storm had many chances to get the opening goal, but were unable to find the back of the net. David McGinnis made some big saves to keep his team in the game. After pressuring in the Elmvale end, Colton Hall went behind the net where he sent a perfect pass out front to a waiting Braden Kelly who made no mistake and put the Storm up 1-0. Saugeen Shores tried to add to their lead, but the score remained 1-0 after the first period. The Storm ran into penalty trouble in the second period, and relied on McGinnis to make big saves to keep his team up by one. Elmvale would score two quick goals in the second to have a 2-1 lead after the second period. Most of the play to start out the third was played in the Elmvale end. Harrison Tew made a nice stretch pass to James Besito at center ice. Besito skated over the Elmvale line and was able to score on a slap shot from just inside the blue line. Elmvale was able to regain a 3-2 lead minutes later. The home team didn’t give up and worked hard to try and get the equalizing goal, but were unable to score and Elmvale advanced to the semi-finals.

All of the Storm are congratulated on a great playoff run.
