Storm back in win column after long Christmas break submitted by Ryan Lamont
The Ralph’s Pee Wee A/E Storm hit the ice after a long Christmas break Saturday in Mitchell.

The Storm played most of the first period inside of the offensive zone. Taylor Schihl scored a goal in front of the net with Ryan Crosetta getting the helper 55 seconds into the game, after some hard for checking by the Storm. The Storm pressed hard looking for more. Schihl, Braden Kelly, Stephen Pilar and Mikyle Romanowich all had chances to score in the first, but where stopped. In the second, the Storm and Mitchell both had many scoring chances, but it remained 1-0 Storm after 2 periods. The defense of Justin Lamont, Aaron Miller, Wyatt LeBlance and Callan Fraser all played well in the third, and goaltender Aaron Churchly made some nice saves to preserve a1-0 win for the Storm.
The Storm played their final game of the regular season against Kincardine on Sunday in Port. This would be a back and forth action game right from the drop of the puck. Kincardine was able to draw first blood 3 minutes into the game, when the Storm were unable to clear the puck. Minutes later after some hard forechecking by the Storm, Stephen Pilar was able to score stick side with Callan Fraser and Troy Contois assisting. Less than a minute later the Storm were able to pull ahead when Mikyle Romanowich made some nice plays in the Kincardine zone and then scored glove side with Taylor Schihl and Cole Farrish also adding to their point totals. Four minutes into the second, after some sloppy plays by the Storm, Kincardine was able to tie up the game. The Storm pressed hard for the go ahead goal, but were unable to pot a goal. While on the Power Play, Jesse Cannon skated into the Kincardine zone with Charlie Wilkinson. Cannon was able to get a shot on net, and Wilkinson was there to put in the rebound for a 3-2 Storm lead. Seconds later, Kincardine was able to tie the game to keep the score locked at three after two periods. The final frame saw the Storm take the lead once again when, after taking a nice pass from Pilar, Ryan Crosetta was able to score top shelf to put the Storm back on top. Aaron Cruchley made some great saves to keep the Storm up by one. With three minutes to go in the game, Contois intercepted the puck in the Kincardine zone and scored on a tidy wrap around. After taking a pass from Wilkinson, Jake Dawson scored stick side with 29 seconds to go in the game to make the score 6-3. Then with 2 seconds to go in the game Cannon intercepted the puck and scored an empty netter on route to a 7-3 win for the Storm.
