STORM ADVANCE TO WOAA FINAL AGAINST LISTOWEL Submitted by Ryan Lamont
The Ralph’s Pee Wee A/E played Mitchell in game 2 of 3 in the WOAA Semi-final Saturday in Port.
The Storm won the first game 7-1 on Tuesday in Mitchell, and were looking for the right to advance to the WOAA final. The Storm dominated the play in the Mitchell zone for most of the first period. Scoring in the first for the Storm were Cole Farrish, Troy Contois and Taylor Schihl. Assisting in the first for the Storm were Mikyle Romanowich, Ryan Hopcraft and Justin Lamont. The Storm held a 3-0 lead after the first. Scoring in period 2 were Contois(2nd of game), Stephen Pilar (with2), Ryan Crosetta, Cal Fraser and Romanowich. Assisting were Fraser, Crosetta(with 3), Hopcraft(With 2),Pilar and Lamont. Storm lead 9-0 after 2 periods. Hopcraft and Pilar, who completed his hat trick, were the goal scores in the 3rd. Braden Kelly and Wyatt LeBlance got the helpers in the final period. Mitchell would score at 9:01, but the Storm were victorious with an 11-1 crushing.
All players are to be proud of their great efforts. The Storm will now face Listowel, who beat Kincardine in 5 games, in the WOAA finals.
